Lesson 8

This lesson was a very productive lesson, the first half of the lesson we edited our presentation, for our music video; we also added posts that were missing form our blogs. The second half of the lesson, each group had to present their pitch, on their artist and their music video idea, to the whole class. Each group were given a feedback sheet to fill in, about the groups that presented their music video idea. These sheets will then give the groups feedback on what they can improve on, and what didn’t work in their music video. Sarah and me will be pitching our music video presentation to the whole class tomorrow, as we didn’t have enough time to present.

Lesson 9

In this lesson we did some blog work. The purpose of this lesson was to catch up with unfinished posts; I was already up to date with most of my posts, so I decided to listen to Leanne’s audio feedback, about my blog. There are a lot of improvements to do, and things I need to add. I will be doing a different post on all the things I need to improve on.

The Iconography of the album cover

Digi pack design- idea

Above you can see a cyanotype picture; when planning the design for mine and Sarah’s digi pack, one of the thoughts and ideas that I had was to work with cyanotype. This could be the base design for our digi pack, as it looks simple but it is so effective; with the bold blue against the crisp white background, makes it standout and look original.

Digi pack layout

When thinking about the digi pack design, Sarah and I have decided that we will make an actual digi pack. We did alot of research on the kind of layouts we would like, to present our CD; so we have gone for the simplest of layouts, which are found in digi packs. The benefits of making a physical digi pack is that, know we can go all artistic by putting our own personality into the design, of the digi pack. Above you can see the digi pack, that Sarah and I found, on eBay; with the simple layout of the digi pack, it makes the digi pack much easier to design.

Lesson 9

This lesson was a very productive lesson, as it gave everyone time to catch up with their blogging, and finishing of class work. Sarah and I kept our minds on, finishing of class work, as we were already up to date with our blogging. Sarah started off, finishing off the audience profile; while I started on the PowerPoint presentation, for our music video idea. This presentation will be viewed by the whole class on Thursday 18th, so I and Sarah decided to do three slides each. Sarah will be doing her three slides over the weekend, while I have already finished off my slides, in this lesson. Overall I would say that, both I and Sarah are up to date with our work.

Lesson 8

In this lesson, we had to finish of our prezi; on our moodboard, and start an audience profile. Sarah and me decided to split the work between us; I decided to finish of our prezi, and Sarah decided to start on the audience profile, on glogster. This was a very productive lesson, as I finished off the moodboard and Sarah almost finished off of the audience. The next thing we need to do, is to prepare for our presentation, on our artist (Beau).

Lesson 7

In this lesson, in groups of two or threes; Mrs Raji handed out some digipacks for us to analyse. This was a very productive lesson as it helped us to understand, the purpose of a digipack, and what after effects it can have on artists. The purpose of the lesson was to gather as much information as we can, on our chosen digipack (Lloyd Banks-Hunger for more); then to present and shoot the analysis, of our digipack, on the green screen. This practical was very useful, as it gave us all an insight into, how to edit and shoot on a green screen.

Moodboard- Prezi

Lesson 6

In this lesson we did some blog catch up and finish of our mood boards. When I and Sarah had finished of our mood board, we took some photos from different angles of, the mood board, and uploaded them on to our Prezi account. With this software we are hoping to make and animated tour, which will hopefully take you around our mood board, and give you a closer image of the mood board, itself.

Lesson 5

In this lesson we had to start our mood board, for our artist Beau. I and Sarah decided to divide the task between us; Sarah would be sticking down the pictures and deciding how to present, the mood board in an artistic way. I however, decided to research on the images we could use for the mood board; for examples, guitars, microphones, artist like, James Morrison, Ed Sheeran etc, images of places in the city that we could shoot e.g. buses, underground, in city centres etc. I think Sarah did a great job of assembling the images in a very artistic, interesting way; one of the ideas she had was to corporate the lyric of the song we would be using in our music video, in to the mood board. This was a great lesson as it showed, mine and Sarah artistic side, which will hopefully influence our music video.
