boy costume choice- Beau music video

Here you can see the image that we have established for Beau. We believe that this helps to bring the artist more down to earth, as he seems like another person with his fashion, and helps the audience relate etc.

Here you can see the image that we have decided for the girl that Beau is searching for. We believe that by poping a bright colour into her clothing with a scarf, helps the audience to identify her.

Lesson 15

During this lesson me and Sarah started to develop our stop motion animation images on Photoshop. The purpose of the animation/ stop motion part of the music video is that we believe it emphasise the narrative of the music video and the element of romance in the video. We also believe that it makes the music video more interesting and original.

lesson 14

In this lesson me and Sarah started to take print screens of every movement we made on our animation. We developed this by moving each body part, for example, arms, legs etc. on our Beau drawing. By moving each body part step by step and taking print screen of the picture on Photoshop, helps to produce a smooth movement of the animation.

Here you can see the first step of our animation on Photoshop, once scanned in. We decided to go over each drawing with black paint to make the animation more distinctive and visible.

Analysis of Bruno Mars poster

Here you can see an album poster to promote Bruno Mars new album. The poster itself is quite simplistic but still effective at the same time. This is achieved by the simplistic, almost childlike drawing. Some may suggest that the connotation for the simplistic childlike drawing may be symbolic to Bruno Mars fun personality, and may further influence the type of music he produces e.g. not being serious all the time. The font itself is bright and bold, but at the same time it seems quite simplistic, as the font is mounted on a white background provide the element of simplicity, in the artist. If I were to take anything away from this poster it would be the element of simplicity. Even though there are quite few bright colours within the poster, I believe that the element of white makes the whole poster seem more simple and attractive.

Analysis of Ed Sheeran poster

Here you can see an album poster to promote Ed Sheeran’s new album. The poster itself is quite simplistic but still effective at the same time. This is achieved by the all over bright orange colour; some may suggest that the connotation for the orange may be symbolic to Ed Sheeran’s hair, as his ginger hair maybe his unique selling point. The font itself is quite simplistic and minimalist; this could be a connotation to the type of music he produces. As my artist, Beau, has been patchily influenced by the artist Ed Sheeran, I have decided that keeping my poster simple and minimal would be the best way to promote my artist Beau. As he is quite simple in his sense of fashion and the style of music that he produces.
