Lesson 13
In
this lesson, as a team, Sarah and me finally started to put together our shots
and produce an animatic for the song; you give me something. When putting the
shots together on final cut pro, we realised that some of the shots were far to
long and had to be divide to fit the time. Putting the shots together with the
song playing in the background, helped us to visualise how the video will look
once we start to film, the actual video. The benefits of producing animatic
before shooting, gave us a lot to think about and what did not work. The improvements
that we will be making to our animatic will mostly consist of, adding more
shots to reduce the length of specific shots and to add variation.

Lesson 12
In this lesson the
whole class, in their groups, carried on with their music video story boards. I
and Sarah decide to specify the length of each scene we drew, by calculating
the length of each chorus. We found that by downloading the song ‘You give me
something’, on to our phones, helped out alot; as we were able to listen back to
the song when every we want to, with any problems. This sped up the task, to
finish of our story board, as we have fully calculated the length for each
stanza in the song; the only thing now that we have left to do, is to add few
more scenes to our story board sheets.
Lesson 11
In this lesson, in our music video groups; Sarah and I
started to develop our music video Idea, with the use of some story board
sheets. We found that we needed to use alot more camera angles, as the song ‘You
give me something’ is approximately three minutes and forty – five seconds
long. So far we have achieved to develop 25 scenes, we are aiming to produce 35
scenes and hopefully once we have developed our animatic, we will then go back
and add some more scenes to our story board.
